Computerized Anesthesia
Getting the “shot” can cause anxiety for many patients. One of the most innovative advances in dental technology used by Dr. Chaiken is the STA System of computerized anesthesia delivery. By using the computerized STA System, anesthetic is delivered at precisely controlled rates such that patient discomfort can be virtually eliminated. It also allows us to comfortably provide your care without having to “numb” your tongue and lips. It works instantly and is highly predictable for even patients who have a hard time getting numb.

Digital Radiography (X-Rays)
As you know, X-rays play an important role in the diagnosis of dental problems. However, many people are concerned about the exposure to X-ray radiation. That’s why our office has switched to digital radiography. It gives us the accurate images we need to treat you properly – but does so with up to 90% less radiation than regular x-rays.

An image taken with a digital sensor can actually lead to a better diagnosis of your dental problem. That’s because it can be magnified 300x to enhance diagnosis and automatically corrects the contrast of the image.

It’s FAST! Digital radiography is instantaneous. There is no film to process or mount which means that we have more time to spend caring for you.

We care about our environment! Our new radiography system requires none of the harsh chemicals used in conventional X-ray processing. That means we don’t have to worry about disposing of hazardous waste – and hurting our environment in the process.
